Project description

The implementation project Hybrid DH Demo is based on the projects "Wind Marketing" and "Hybrid District Heating" and aims at "higher quality" wind power marketing.

A hub of district heating, natural gas and electricity networks in Neusiedl represents an ideal “urban living lab” and becomes an “energy hub”. A flue gas condensation heat pump, an air heat pump and a battery storage will be installed on site, the existing hot water buffer storage will be enlarged and direct lines will be laid between the wind farm and the heating center. For the energy supply, electricity from wind turbines of Energie Burgenland AG is used, whose feed-in subsidy has already expired.

Hybrid DH Demo develops different business models for a hybrid district heating system based on an open innovation approach and brings them closer to the residents of the town of Neusiedl through participatory implementation.
